Never Lose Your Luggage (& Other Travel Gadgets to Keep You Sane)

You all know I lead a busy life and I travel a lot -- I was even in Iceland earlier this year! In this week's episode of Hardwired 2.0 I got to test out some travel tech gadgets on my trip to NYC.

Let's start with the Trakdot Luggage tracker. We all know how frustrating it can be when your luggage doesn't arrive at the airport with you. Trakdot tracks your bags while you're traveling using the local cellular network so if you're bag doesn't make it on the plane after a layover you'll know before the airline does. And guess what? It works! At baggage claim I opened the app and was so excited to see that my bag had made it!

Whenever I travel I always try to sleep while listening to music. Trying to sleep with headphones in my ears is super uncomfortable so I tried out Dreampad, a pillow that plays music via gentle vibrations. Just plug it directly into your music device and you won't disturb your neighbor!

The scarf I'm wearing in this episode actually has a secret defense system. It's called Scough and it uses an activated carbon filter impregnated with silver for protection from germs and pollution. Make sure to check out the photo gallery below to see it in action on the Subway in NYC! It's way better than a scary-looking surgical mask.

There are so many more gadgets featured in this week's episode, from portable ovens to heat up your leftovers and devices to purify your water.

Also, make sure to check out this behind the scenes video to see the unfortunate end of my iPhone :(
